Control positions
We acquire majority stakes in profitable companies with $10–60M of EBITDA, partnering with founders and management who stay invested alongside us.

Stone Private Equity Group takes control positions in enduring middle-market businesses — infrastructure, industrial and agricultural platforms — and holds them through cycles, building companies that outlast the fund that bought them.
Stone Private Equity Group was founded by Sheron Alobwede, whose career spans financial services and technology. Her early work in both sectors shaped a discipline in underwriting, capital structure and operating systems — and her African roots drew her to deploy that expertise across the continent's most durable investment sectors.
Based in London, we invest from committed investment vehicles across Africa and Europe. While our firm is rooted in the UK, the majority of our capital is deployed in Africa, where we partner with founders and management teams building infrastructure, industrial and agricultural platforms.
Every investment is led by a partner who remains on the board for the life of the hold, supported by operating colleagues who spend their weeks on site rather than in the deal room. We do not run auctions against ourselves, and we do not buy businesses we cannot explain in a paragraph. That discipline has produced a portfolio of unglamorous, durable, cash-generative companies.
Founder
Sheron's background in financial services and technology gave her a view of capital and operations that she wanted to apply in sectors with long-term structural demand. Her African roots directed that focus to infrastructure, industrial and agricultural platforms across the continent — the foundation on which Stone Private Equity Group was built.

Our operating partners have run the businesses they now advise. Value comes from commercial discipline and capability building, not financial engineering.
We underwrite for sustainable growth, not an exit window. Disciplined ownership lets compounding, not leverage, do the work.
We concentrate these disciplines on infrastructure, industrial and agricultural platforms in Africa, where strategic ownership and local operating capability matter most.

The assets we own are physical, unglamorous and productive — poultry farms, egg tray manufacturing plants, palm oil mills, pig rearing operations, catfish farms, tourism services, crop processing facilities and commercial real estate across the continent.

Commercial broiler and layer houses supplying protein to fast-growing urban markets.

Moulded pulp packaging plants that keep regional egg producers supplied locally.

Mills and refineries taking fresh fruit bunches through to food-grade oil.

Modern piggeries producing pork for regional food chains, with strict biosecurity and feed traceability.

Storage, drying and milling capacity built alongside the farms that feed it.

Mixed-use commercial and industrial properties that house the businesses and logistics we invest in.

Pond and recirculating aquaculture systems producing protein for growing urban and regional markets.

Hospitality, lodges and destination services that capture rising intra-African and international travel.
